Training Courses: online or on-site

Updated 16 March 2024

Aside from the start-up help provided to new projects and assistance given with specific how-to queries, we can also arrange and run formal training events. These may be in-situ at your institution, by arrangement in Oxford, or online using Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Skype, and others as you may prefer.

Course content and scheduling

  • Courses are tailored to suit your requirements.
  • Online courses usually consist of a series of 3.5 hour sessions.
  • 1 day = 2 x 3.5 hour sessions which may be on the same or different days.
  • If courses are in situ, they are usually run full time over a number of consecutive days.
  • A minimum of 2 days (4 x 3.5 hour sessions) is recommended to cover the essentials.
  • Typically, 8 x 3.5 hour sessions (i.e. 4 days) will cover all aspects of BRAHMS including db administration.
  • There are normally no restrictions on the number of course participants, especially when online.

Assuming you have your own data available, we will use these data as far as possible for training. You can also submit report requirement examples beforehand and the design of these can be covered on your course.

For more advanced BRAHMS users

Rather than go for a general introductory training course, you may already have a good working knowledge of BRAHMS and prefer to select specific training topics. Examples could be managing images, cloud servers, using the mobile app, mapping, a focus on species and taxonomy, report design and diversity analysis.
